Champions League Tuesday Matches – Real Madrid vs Inter is the Top Game

In a few hours, the first league phase games will start. Today, we can see Aston Villa and Manchester City from the Premier League, and Villarreal, Betis and Real Madrid from La Liga.

Manchester City has the “easiest” game ahead, as Porto has drawn against City only once in their last 4 games. City won the other three games 3-1, 4-0, and 2-1.

Aston Villa, on the other hand, can probably struggle a bit against Club Brugge. The odds still show the home team is more likely to win. But don’t forget that this Villa team is different. They have sold almost the whole starting 11 this summer and lost 4 of their first 5 games of the season. They could only draw against Hull in a goalless game last weekend.

Real Madrid vs Inter Milan

Real Madrid played against Betis last Friday, and the team showed one of the worst faces since playing under José Mourinho. 20 shots, 8 on target, 7 big chances missed. And also a penalty. Carlos Espí scored an equaliser, which was ruled out for offside; then Kylian Mbappé missed a penalty. 3 shots on the woodwork. It was not their day. Maybe this is just what they needed?

Inter Milan won in a crazy game over the weekend against Napoli. Politano and Hojlund put Napoli up 2-0 in the 50th and 53rd minutes, then Lautaro Martinez scored in the 56th, Thuram equalised in the 82nd, and Lautaro Martinez scored again in the 91st to make it 3-2 for Inter.
